About the author
I am a wife, mother, airline pilot with a BA in nutrition as well as amateur athlete and understand the importance of prioritizing life while keeping a good balance. After having my two beautiful children they inspired me to pursue something meaningful in my life. Helping a new mother strengthen her bond with her baby as well as supplying her baby with the best nutrition available is something I am very passionate about. Though I love my job as an airline pilot and bringing people together can be significant at times, I am looking for something more rewarding.
I was able to successfully breastfeed both of my children, while overcoming the challenges brought on by being a working mother in a non-traditional work life. Through the course of my nursing experience and hurdles that I had to overcome, I was being sought out by other nursing mothers at work to give advice. Through my experience as a nursing mother I have met outstanding lactation consultants, as well as had negative experiences. My philosophy is to take the good qualities away from the positive encounters and learn from the bad ones, so I can grow from both. New mothers have a lot of struggles and concerns when they bring a new baby into their life and I think my own experience would be of benefit to others, especially to working mothers.
I graduated with honors and received my Bachelors degree in Nutrition at Metropolitan State University in the fall of 2015. Since the aviation industry is exempt from the American Care Act, many mothers find themselves forced to stop nursing their babies before they desire to. I have been continuing following my passion as a mama in aviation and have been able to help mentor other mama pilots as part of an official assistance committee alongside some amazing women for the airline I work for.

About the site
While I was a nursing mother I found it at times hard to find information on which ingredients can help the production of breast milk. During my studies of nutrition I decided to focus on lactation whenever possible. As my Senior Capstone Research Project I decided to create this website on foods that increase the production of breast milk.
I hope you can find useful information on this blog that will help you have the best nursing experience possible.
